Setup Instructions for Mac OS/8 and iMac

Information you'll need:
• Your Jobe username and password
• The correct access number for your area

Mac OS/8
1. Double-click the Mac HD icon on



2. Double-click the Assistants folder



3. Now double-click the Internet Setup Assistant icon



4. Choose Update



5. Click the right arrow



6. Select Add Internet configuration, then click the right arrow



7. Name the configuration Jobe and select Modem. Click the right arrow



8. Select your modem from the list, and make sure the port and line options are set as shown below. Now click the right arrow



9. Enter the correct access number for your area. Now type your username and password (see your signup sheet). Click the right arrow



10. First click No, then the right arrow



11. Do not enter anything in either of these boxes. Click the right arrow



12. Enter your Jobe email address and password. Click the right arrow
      (Note: your password will appear as dots)



13. Enter your Jobe email address once more, then type mail.jobe.net in the box below it. Click the right arrow (I know, I know you're getting tired of this...no need to worry; we're almost finished).



14. Type news.jobe.net in this box, then click the right arrow



15. Check Connect when finished then press Go Ahead to finish. Congrats, you're all done

iMac
1. Double-click the Mac HD icon on



2. Double-click the Assistants folder



3. Now double-click the Internet Setup Assistant icon



4. Choose Yes



5. Click the Yes button



6. Click the right arrow



7. Name the configuration Jobe and select Modem. Click the right arrow



8. Select your modem from the list, and make sure that Tone is selected. Click the right arrow



9. Enter the correct access number for your area. Now type your username and password (see your signup sheet). Click the right arrow



10. First click No, then the right arrow



11. Select No again, then click the right arrow



12. Do not type anything in either of these boxes. Click the right arrow



13. Enter your Jobe email address once more, then type mail.jobe.net in the box below it. Click the right arrow. (Psst...we're almost done...hang in there)



14. Type news.jobe.net in this box, then click the right arrow



15. Check Connect when finished then press Go Ahead to finish. That's it. Happy surfing.
