Setup
Instructions for IE 4.0
Information you'll need:
• Your Jobe username and password
• The correct access
number for your area
1. Right click the Internet Explorer icon and select
Properties

2. Click the General tab and type http://www.jobe.net
in the address box
3. Now click the Connection tab. Click the button
labeled Connect
4. Click Next
5. Select the middle option as shown above, then
click Next
6. Now click Connect using my phone line, then
Next
7. Type in the the correct access number, and uncheck
the box that reads Dial using the area code
and county code then click Next
8. Enter your Jobe username and password (look on your
sign up sheet), then
click Next (Note: Your password
will appear in asterisks as you type it)
9. Click the Yes option, and then click Next
10. Select PPP (Point to Point Protocol),
then hit Next
11. On this screen, select the first option - I don't
need to type anything when logging on - and then click
Next
12. Click My Internet service provider
automatically assigns me one on the IP address screen,
and then hit Next
13. Select the first option, then click Next
14. Type Jobe in the Connection
name box, then hit the Next button

15. Select Yes, then click Next

16. Enter your name as you want it to appear on your
email messages, and the click Next

17. Type your email address (username@jobe.net) the
hit Next
18. Select POP3 from the drop down menu and
type mail.jobe.net in the Incoming and
Outgoing mail server boxes. Click Next

19. Select the Log on Using option
and then type your username and password. Click Next
20. Type mail.jobe.net for the account name
the click Next (keep up the good work,
we're almost done)
21. Select No, then hit Next
22. Click No, then Next
23. Click Finish. You're done. Good job.
